Why Vegetarianism?

By eliminating all types of meat, poultry, and fish from your diet and transitioning into becoming a vegetarian, your risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes significantly decreases. While many meats contain acids that require the bones to secrete calcium from your bones and pass through urine, vegetarians have the benefit of not only preserving much calcium, but also eating many calcium-enriched foods. Vegetarians also are more likely to have a healthier weight than meat-eaters. Meat eaters have an average Body Mass Index (BMI) of about 8.3% higher than vegetarians. All these factors end up leading to a healthier and longer life!
